Profile Tool Designer

Designer is the authoring interface for Profile Tool configurations and reusable styling.

Main Tasks

1. Sign in to Portal or Prototics, depending on the environment.
2. Define data source URLs or select backend datasets.
3. Inspect available layer fields through the proxy.
4. Map route, node, elevation, invert, and asset fields.
5. Configure profile display settings and save the configuration.

Stored Records

Designer can work with configurations, styles, and datasets exposed by the backend endpoints under /api/prototics.

Testing

Before publishing a configuration to users, open it through Launcher and confirm that the End User application can query the configured sources.
